History

The New Territories Heung Yee Kuk Yuen Long District Secondary School was founded on 1969. To the construction works, the N.T Heung Yee Kuk made a donation of $660,000, while the rest of the expenses was covered by the government. The opening ceremony, held on 23rd January 1969, was officiated by Sir David Trench, GCMG, MC, DL. In the same month, the school council was also established and Mr. Ho Chuen Yiu, JP, became the first president of the council.
